This Position is 29 hours or less from 9:30pm-6am.

Security guards are responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of Tahoe Seasons Resort guests, employees, and property. The Security Guard patrols the Resort by walking through and perimeter of the building and parking garage and reports any unusual occurrences in writing.  He/she checks that all utility and doors are locked and secured. The Security guard will serve as Bell/Valet when needed. Candidate will also be assisting in projects assigned as indicated below.

  • Communicate with fellow employees and department supervisors
  • Know and be able to perform job specific duties
  • Serve as Bell/Valet when needed and adhere to the duties and responsibilities of that position
  • Perform all duties listed on Security Guard daily checklist
  • Patrol designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures
  • Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
  • Complete observation and incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
  • Complete the monthly fire and safety report
  • Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
  • Follow proper evaluation procedures
  • Show rooms to guests when needed
  • Assists guests and employees with filling out incident reports when needed
  • Assist with minimal housekeeping and maintenance related calls
  • Has understanding of building maintenance
  • Perform any other various duties that may be assigned by the Operations Supervisor and/or General Manager

Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education required Skills required:

  • Communication skills to effectively communicate with others, especially in stressful situations
  • Good judgment in order to quickly identify the best course of action for dealing with dangerous situations as they arise
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Detailed oriented
