PAY: $27.81/HOUR

JOB SUMMARY

As an Engineer II at Aqua Aston Hospitality (AAH), you will be responsible for making meaningful moments for Owners, members, and guests. An Engineer II communicates with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carries equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and shut-offs for buildings. Maintains maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Assures each day’s activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Displays proficiency in any one of the following categories, above average skills in two more of the following categories and basic skills in the remaining categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management. Displays solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Displays basic ability to repair or replace PVC copper pipe (including soldering). Troubleshoots and perform basic repair on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. You will add to the success of the AAH team by maintaining high standards and providing the best service. You will need to have a flexible schedule, communicate clearly with coworkers and guests, and follow the company's rules in all situations. This position may require a background check and/or drug screen contingent on company policy and state and local requirements. Specific job duties may differ by property, size of team, or facility. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Safely performs highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration, and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials, and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision.
  • Carries all equipment (e.g., keys, phones, pager, tools, radio) to maintain preparedness to carry out work tasks at all times.
  • Inspects and repairs all mechanical equipment including, but not limited to: appliances, HVAC, electrical and plumbing components, diagnose and repair of boilers, pumps, and related components.
  • Inspects fire sprinkler valves and fire alarm systems in accordance with company policy and local codes.
  • Responds and attends to guest repair requests.
  • Performs preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Cleans, lubricates, protects, and otherwise maintains all tools and equipment.
  • Identifies, locates, and operates all shut-off valves for equipment.
  • Complies with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Follows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to promote a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management. 
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
