This position will support the Director of Human Resources with talent acquisition for Singapore-based operations. As required, the position will provide support with achieving the recruitment plan for Asia Pacific projects.


Develop and Execute Recruiting Plan and Process (75%)

  • Work with Director of Human Resources to develop and execute Asia Pacific recruiting plan
  • Ensure attraction and sourcing of a diverse workforce in the most cost effective and efficient means to meet business needs (e.g. networking, advertising, referrals, agencies and social media channels) for Singapore and new site openings.
  • Responsible to draft, post and maintain accurate job requisitions/postings on internal and external portals
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidates
  • Manage recruitment to on-boarding process as appropriate
  • Achieve performance targets on sourcing and meeting the Talent Acquisition matrix
Coordinate and Implement Recruiting Initiatives (20%)
  • Coordinate recruiting initiatives as and when required.
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting (for Singapore).
  • Develop working relationships with external parties to aid in recruiting.
  • Prepare and give presentations at extern allocations and increase awareness of the company before and after career fairs.

Training and Development (Talent Acquisition) (5%)

  • Responsible for training new hires who will be recruiting onsite, including the HR team, line managers, supervisors and team leads on the STAR interview process and the use of the Recruiting Manager (RM) global recruiting platform.

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.


  • Speak to candidates, recruiting providers and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings, answering with a smile in one's voice, using the callers' name, transferring calls to appropriate person/department, requesting permission before placing the caller on hold, taking and relaying messages, and allowing the caller to end the call.
  • Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Talk with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information.

  • Enter and retrieve information contained in computer databases using a keyboard, mouse, or trackball to update records, files, reservation and answer inquiries from guests.
  • Use computer systems and software packages to input, access, modify, store, or output information
  • Prepare letters, memos, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
  • Support the business with meeting staffing expectations with high caliber recruits.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or other methods.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Marriott Vacations Worldwide product lines.
  • Maintain computer systems knowledge (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio etc.).
  • Work with all MVCI colleagues as a team, supporting the needs within that team and those of the business at all times.



  • Diploma or Degree, preferably in a human resource-related field; recruiting-related an advantage
  • HR qualifications (desirable)

Related Work Experience

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of strong recruitment experience in sourcing and placement -- experience within the Asia Pacific region will be an advantage
  • Experience with developing and executing local recruiting strategies designed to target hard to fill positions.
  • Basic understanding of social media sourcing; solid experience and / or experience as a LinkedIn recruiter will be an advantage
  • Experience with the in-house recruiting process an asset
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented with good follow-up skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a demanding, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a wider HR team.
