Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks.

Job Summary

As a member of the Enterprise Reporting team, the Analyst is responsible for the development and maintenance of MVCI reports. This position will interact with the Finance & Accounting areas as well as other departments in the organization to ensure reporting needs are met. Primary responsibilities include developing and supporting enterprise reports using a corporate reporting tool set. The Analyst duties also include data analysis, troubleshooting, bug analysis, development, testing and documentation. Other responsibilities include migration control, change request and processes documentation.



Expected Contributions

  • Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.
  • Responds to, solves and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.
  • Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.
  • Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:

- utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.

- establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others.

- allocating own time effectively to meet goals in a manner that does not disadvantage other associates or groups.

- contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).

  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as appropriate.
  • Responsible for gathering requirements, developing and writing reports for the various Finance & Accounting and other functional areas of the organization. Work in a multi ledger environment and support multicurrency reporting.
  • Assist in the organization of the MVCI reporting inventory. Document existing reports, including audience, frequency and report information. Identify redundant reporting and opportunities for consolidation.
  • Work with FIM to resolve reporting issues and participate in system testing for patches and fixes for reporting systems.
  • Develop and test corporate reports from the MVCI data warehouse.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn complex business processes and share experience and knowledge with the business.
  • Must have an understanding of relational databases. Will utilize Oracle SQL to analyze ledger data and SQL Server for financial data.
  • Coordinate, and deliver report training materials for the end user. Maintain documentation, manuals and user information.
  • Participate in the team monitor rotation. Monitor the department support mailbox for domestic and international reporting needs. Address issues and utilize team expertise for additional support.


Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Usually a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Resources). College degree and/or related experience typically required.

  • Strong service orientation and excellent communication skills
  • Energetic and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and initiative to learn new technology
  • 3 years of system support experience with a history of delivering timely results
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel abilities
  • Beginner level of General Ledger experience
  • Basic SQL Knowledge
