Position Summary:

This position will lead a team of 5+ Income Auditors and oversee their daily tasks.  It is a hands on position which will spend time leading the Income Audit team, analyzing processes for improvement, and troubleshooting day to day IT issues which may include PMS out of balances, open checks, or other reporting issues with the goal of implementing both short term and long term fixes.

Responsibilities:

  • Principally responsible for carrying out accounting and financial reporting tasks with the goal of ensuring consistent use of all resort revenue-generating activities. 
  • Completing all facets of the month end close process as it relates to Income Audit by approving and reviewing journal entries and operation worksheets and calculations.
  • This position will be heavily focused on integrating multiple legacy processes into a single unified best practice for Credit card balancing and verification, data transformation of Daily Sales information for MVW, VSE, and HVO, streamlining existing house account processes for settlements to be done on the POS, and other related processes.
  • Acting as a change agent as systems are aligned and non-value added activities are analyzed for automation and improvement.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in alignment with SOX and internal SOPs and policies.
  • This hands on position performs a number of various financial tasks including preparing Journal Entries, reviewing financial reports and partnering with the operational and tax teams to set up new revenue trans codes.  
  • Responsible for dealing with escalated issues with which the team may seek guidance.
  • Additional projects/tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and 2 years hospitality accounting experience.  
  • Intermediate Excel Skills required.
  • Galaxy Lightspeed experience a plus.
  • Team building and interpersonal skills
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one on ones
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects
  • USALI experience a plus
