JOB SUMMARY 

As the Adventure Concierge at ADERO Scottsdale, you will be part of a team bent on delivering great experiences and memories for guests visiting our beautiful location in the McDowell Mountains of the Sonoran Desert. Our adventure concierge has the awesome task of being our guests' guide to all the awesome things Arizona has to offer! You will be working with guests to plan and sometimes guide outdoor adventures like hiking, bicycling, off-road touring, as well as providing recommendations and securing reservations for guests for a variety of activities.

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

  • Acts as one-stop-shop for guests looking for more information on local adventure and the Arizona outdoors
  • Schedules guest adventures and maintains guest adventures and reservations log for both onsite and offsite activities
  • Actively seek to connect guests with activities led by ADERO or by partner tour operators
  • Guide guests on nearby local hikes
  • Coordinate with front desk team to ensure hotel experience enhances guest adventure
  • Learns and delivers the ADERO brand and the Exactly Like Nothing Else experience of the Autograph Collection Hotels
  • Consistently displays a positive attitude with each member and guest contact. 
  • Consistently projects a smile in voice when on phone
  • Consistently smiles when greeting members and guests, remembering you are “on stage” at all times.
  • Performs front desk functions during downtime or when otherwise needed due to guest traffic levels
  • Complete follow through with all member, guest, and coworker requests.
  • Follows all company personnel and operating policies and procedures including emergency plans
  • Other duties as assigned by the Front Office Supervisor.
  • Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable and experienced with recreational activities, terrain, animals, and safety within the Sonoran Desert environment, including nearby hiking trails preferred.
  • Comfortable and passionate about speaking to guests and sharing the story of the desert.
  • Capable of engaging and leading small groups of guests on nearby hikes
  • First-Aid and CPR Certified within 30 days of hire
  • Arizona Driver's License
  • Developed people, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
