Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Retrieve, review and analyze market data through Hotelligence analytics tools (Rate360, Market360) and central reservations reporting to aide Revenue Management leaders on marketplace and consumer booking/cancellation trends
  • Extract information from qualitative and quantitative data and turning it into compelling insights that help our Revenue Management and Digital Marketing become more successful
  • Ability to draft and create data extracts from property management system database using SQL queries and importing information into Excel and/or Tableau
  • Communicate findings across the organization with recommendations on business application and impact to drive better business decisions on mid- to long-range strategy
  • Prepare annual static market event reports (School Calendars, Large Area Events, City Wide Events) that create natural marketplace compression and provide suggestions of rates and restrictions (yield management) to Revenue leaders
  • Assist in the development and revisions of forecasts for the Revenue Management Department, weekly, monthly and annually as needed
  • Facilitate and moderate brainstorming and data synthesis sessions to produce insights that address key business issues
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

Must be able to perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining project records or achieving desired results. Process related administrative details to keep department operational and effective while achieving results of projects assigned. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.     

Education/Certifications and/or Experience:

2-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Data Science, Finance and/or Accounting or related major with 1-year experience required. A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Finance and/or Accounting or related major strongly preferred.

Must have working experience with creating SQL queries and importing this data into Excel. Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Macro’s, Complex Formulas) required. Knowledge of R, Python and Tableau preferred.

Knowledge of TravelClick iHotelier, TimeShareWare, and timeshare and/or hotel experience a plus.
