POSITION PURPOSE

Under the direction of Human Resources at The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa, this position will be responsible for supervising all of the Associate Housing related actions for owned units to ensure company assets remain in optimal conditions and associate experience is in compliance with company standards and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources and partnership with Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa Engineering manager undertakes in timely manner all planned or exceptional maintenance actions managing internal property resources or through third party providers to deliver the best quality service taking in consideration cost optimization.

• Perform all required controls and follow up actions to ensure company assets remain in are in optimal conditions (common areas, units, appliances)

• Partner with Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa Engineering manager to ensure best practices related to maintenance actions are achieved.

• Coordinates third party and providers actions on site to ensure contracted services are performed as required.

• Coordinates unit’s distribution and use through time to achieve optimal balance between associate’s Experience and cost management in compliance with company standards and requirements.

• Under the guidance of the Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa Engineering manager, prepares the annual Associate Housing maintenance plan and budget, and presents it to the various levels of Senior Leadership of the property.

• Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources , manage to stay on track of preventive maintenance budget and alerts appropriate stockholders when exceptional actions/cost must be undertaken.

• Support the HR function as it relates to new hires and onboarding experience of new associates.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (Spanish/English).

• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Most tasks are performed in a team environment with this position acting as a facilitator.

• Must possess intermediate computer skills.

• Ability to work remotely as required with limited supervision

• Must be highly organized, provide attention to detail and have an understanding of a sense of urgency.

• Ability to apply supervisory/management soft skills and environment adaptability.

• Ability to manage several middle and long-term projects at the simultaneously.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Engineering or equivalent education/experience required.

Experience

One year of employment in a related position (e.g. Condominium coordination) or as supervisory position in engineering department within hospitality industry.

Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per company standards.
