Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives.  Generally works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks. 

Specific Job Summary (describe the nature and purpose of the position)

This Specialist, Video Production is responsible to create compelling multimedia content for internal and external communications. The position focuses on engaging content that informs and inspires customers across multi media channels.  

This position will take creative direction from the Creative Director, Video and collaborate with all areas of the business, identifying creative solutions to deliver on business strategies. This role is responsible for participating in meetings with partners to determine their video needs.  This includes but is not limited to proposing concepts, working with script writers, storyboard creation, conducting interviews, filming and editing.

Specific Expected Contributions (including duties and responsibilities)


  • Strategize, storyboard, and plan video content. 
  • Capture the direction or storyboard from digital and social team to align to assigned projects, and MVW’s culture. 
  • Shoot video content capturing “on location” lighting and sound as required. 
  • Directs talent on location to complete assignments. 
  • Edit and finalize video content for video projects for our site, paid social, and organic social; optimize video content for different platforms. 
  • Maintain a system for organizing and maintaining video archives and user generated content. 
  • Determines suitable videography equipment needs. 
  • Recruit and schedule talent for original or pick-up needs. 
  • Crowdsource and pursue stories within organization worthy of sharing. 
  • Recommends new video support hardware and software. 
  • Must maintain a proper project archive

Generally, a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations as well as associate management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.

Specific Candidate Profile (the education, experience, skills and attributes that are important for this position)


  • Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography or related field or work experience equivalent 


  • Minimum of 3 years of video editing and shooting experience in a professional environment. 
  • Knowledge of visual, audio, and special effects within Adobe software programs. 
  • Proven work experience as a video editor, with demonstrable video editing ability and a strong portfolio of editing narrative formats to make the scripts pop. 
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut). 


  • Possesses strong technical skills; intermediate level video editing and design skills. 
  • Ability to ensure quality and applicable standards based on distribution or platform. 
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity. 
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing. 
  • Conceptual thinking with a creative mind and storytelling skills. 
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with other teams on several campaigns with varying timelines. 
  • Proven ability to pay attention to details and meet deadlines. 
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously.
