Specific Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Marketing Technology & Operations, the Senior Manager, Marketing Optimization manages the development and execution of innovative cross-channel and omni-channel marketing campaigns at Interval.  This incumbent is primarily responsible for advancing and streamlining ways of achieving business goals, including implementing and testing of new marketing technology and executing on highly personalized customer journeys.

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Develops innovative ways of leveraging marketing tools to expand current capabilities, automate workflows, enhance marketing maturity, and deliver upon business strategy.
  • Works with Data Strategy and Customer Experience team to facilitate and test new data requirements to support campaign and customer journey execution.
  • In collaboration with Interval’s Customer Strategy and Marketing Activation teams, builds, tests, and monitors campaigns supporting the execution of customer journey communications across touchpoints, including highly
  • personalized, automated, cross-channel and omni-channel campaigns.
  • Partners with Customer Experience, Insights & Analysis, and Marketing Activation teams on campaign strategy, campaign, and program build, and provides technical strategic guidance on and best practices for marketing automation campaigns.
  • Develops methodologies to optimize email strategy and execution.
  • Works independently and in conjunction with IT and/or external vendors to implement new functionality related to campaign management and overall marketing orchestration.
  • Manages new project implementation related to marketing technology & optimization, ensuring alignment to overall business strategy.
  • Provides thorough knowledge of best practices and processes for marketing automation and actively drive, organize, and participate in key enhancements in all marketing technology.
  • Develops enablement plans, leads training, and delivers documentation to ensure marketers are fully enabled to use new system features.
  • Plays a central role in the evaluation, recommendation and selection of new software and service solutions to improve performance
  • Reviews processes within the marketing area to identify areas of improvement. Makes recommendations to streamline operations with a focus towards process automation, simplifying work, increasing productivity and speed to market.
  • Manages integrations, documentation, and optimization of current and new marketing tools.
  • Works independently and collaboratively to generate timely results and push business initiatives forward.
  • Acts as a liaison with IT when needed to execute on objectives.
  • Manages priorities and escalates challenges.
  • Manages direct report(s) to support business priorities.
  • Performs other reasonable job duties as requested.

Specific Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Creative Writing, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Related Work Experience

  • Seven to 10 years of experience in a marketing optimization role.
  • Experience leading a team preferred.
  • Experience in Hotel Management, Vacation Ownership, Hospitality preferred.
  • Experience in a matrixed structured organization preferred.

  • Knowledge of marketing trends and practices within the industry.

  • Integrates and balances priorities, work activities and resources for the benefit of multiple key stakeholders.
  • Understands how to manage in a culturally diverse work environment.
  • Computer literacy on Microsoft Office products, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
