Program Description

Offered at our Corporate Headquarters in Orlando, Florida; the College Internship Program is designed to last 3-6 months depending upon the participant's availability and the needs of the department.  The participants should expect to work a full-time schedule in this program.  All College Internships are paid at an hourly wage.  The College Internship Program also offers:

The Corporate College Internship Program is available in the following departments/areas:

  • Data & Analytics

Internship Summary

Participants will be expected to learn and preform the job duties of the position(s) within their assigned department. Interns may also be involved in department projects.

Participants will also learn components of what drives Guest Satisfaction and Associate Engagement on site will have opportunities to contribute to these important matters. Interns will be introduced to and have the opportunity to demonstrate the company's values and core beliefs.

Successful College Interns will be given a high level of consideration when applying for future career opportunities with Marriott Vacation Club. 

Job Requirements


  •   Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics,  or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to tackle complex challenges.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for algorithm development and implementation.

  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements.

  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Experience in the timeshare industry is preferred.


  • Requires significant understanding of all facets of data including cloud architecture, modeling, development, deployment, analysis, and BI methodology, along with requirements gathering, design, quantitative analysis, and insights discovery.  Must demonstrate a strong quantitative aptitude for data. Must be comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment.  Candidate must be collaborative while also being a self-motivated, creative problem solver.

    • Identify and define complex problems within the organization that can benefit from operations research methodologies.

    • Gather relevant data from various sources and perform thorough data analysis to gain insights into the problem domain.

    • Develop mathematical models that accurately represent the problem, including constraints, objectives, and decision variables.

    • Design and implement algorithms and computational methods to solve the mathematical models efficiently.

    • Conduct scenario analyses and "what-if" studies to assess the impact of different strategies and assumptions.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and managers, to ensure that proposed solutions are practical and aligned with organizational goals.

    • Provide decision-makers with clear and concise recommendations based on the results of analyses and simulations.

    • Present complex technical concepts and findings in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Validate and verify models and solutions through sensitivity analysis and validation against real-world data.

Standards of Dress & Grooming

  • Corporate Interns must adhere to Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation Policy HR-EMP-19 Standards of Appearance.
  • Non-uniformed interns should dress with good business taste and in clothing appropriate to their jobs. Good business taste does not include ripped blue jeans, shorts, spandex pants, tank tops, midriffs, halter tops, or other generally recognized casual sportswear. Dress or skirt length should be no shorter than four inches above the knee. All interns must wear proper undergarments.
