Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department in alignment with broader business objectives. Responsible for selection, supervision and development of staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Specific Job Summary

This role is responsible for implementing and managing reporting strategies, processes and systems across all brands for Owner & Member Services. This includes developing, managing and maintaining MVW's suite of financial, managerial and operational reports for business areas such as Finance & Accounting (both Owner Services and Corporate F&A departments), Owner & Member Services and Communication Services. Reporting services provided by this department include, but are not limited to: customer usage and trends, program and various offerings performance, associate performance statistics, account audits, communication data and corresponding performance of individual communication campaigns, etc.

The incumbent plays an independent and autonomous role in rationalizing and standardizing MVW's inventory of internal and external reports. This role supervises a dedicated team of Report Analysts & User Support Specialists and consults with senior leaders across MVW to understand systems and reporting issues and to deliver business and financial information system solutions that meet quality, time, and cost considerations. In support of achieving business goals, this role serves as a project leader and manager for business improvement efforts as well as large scale reporting efforts and will also provide guidance for data storage and design in the reporting environment.

  • Participates in the business strategic goal planning and sets team annual objectives.
  • Meets with business partners to ensure development priorities, requirements, progress and gaps are effectively communicated.
  • Spearheads new process changes and system integration projects while developing team skills to support new solutions.
  • Manages resources, activities, issues, and risks for the technical activities for related projects.
  • Coordinates and monitors system analysis, design, build, test, and deployment activities for reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrates exceptional project planning and management skills.
  • Responsible for transitioning manual and non-confirming reporting solutions to automated reporting solutions.
  • Responsible for the standardization of the organization's inventory of reports and metrics.
  • Responsible for reporting security and delivery automation.
  • Provides technical leadership and direction for projects and systems (e.g., drive application/technical architecture discussions/reviews/decisions).
  • Ensures technical decisions are consistent with MVW Information Resource strategies and policies.
  • Contributes in the direction of global Owner Services' reporting strategies and tools within IR application services and business organizations.
  • Supervises a staff of Report Analysts and User Support Specialists; ensuring priorities are set and expectations are being met.
  • Provides support and guidance for Communication Services' data needs.
  • Performs similar duties in support of achieving business goals as required.

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Generally a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations and associate management. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.

Specific Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor degree in Business Intelligence or Information Systems or equivalent experience required.
  • MBA a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum six (6) years experience in Information Management and enabling technologies in an organization that operates globally.
  • At least two years' experience managing a team of direct reports.
