Position Summary:

A Personal Vacation Planner at the Lahaina Vacation Services Center is responsible for contacting assigned guests of the Westin Maui Resort & Spa and the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resorts Villas prior to their scheduled arrival, and for providing an elevated level of service to these incoming guests. This role must assist these assigned guests with any questions they may have, but also facilitate restaurant and activity reservations for these arriving guests and Villa Owners. The primary function of this position is to develop relationships with arriving guests and Villa Owners that result in new leads for our Westin Vacation Ownerships’ marketing teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance prior to arrival for all assigned guests and deliver all critical information needed in preparing for a vacation (i.e. what to pack, current resort temperature or directions to the Resort, etc.)
  • Promote, sell and reserve island activities that are approporate for assigned guests and Owners after determining their personal interests and abilities.
    • Accurately confirm, bill and log each activity sold
    • Refer only vendors and outlets that provide services that are in the best overall interest of our guests and Owners
    • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all local vendors
  • Assists guests on the exclusive Encore Package and generate appointments for them to attend a Sales Presentation
  • Responsible for updated guest profiles pre-arrival

Requirements:

  • At least one year of Customer Service experience required
  • Prior experience in Sales and/or Marketing preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills required
  • Extensive knowledge of local area and resorts
  • Must embody professionalism, and consistently demonstrate high quality guest service
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
