Job Summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation (MVW) is a leading global vacation company that offers vacation ownership, exchange, rental, and resort and property management, along with related businesses, products and services. The MVW Law Department provides legal support and legal services to all aspects of the Company's business.

The paralegal in this position will be a member of the Law Department's Registration, Consumer Documents and Conveyance team. This position performs factual research, document analysis and organization, document drafting, and other tasks that require substantial knowledge of the subject matter. A significant portion of this position's workload will be supporting the process for registering (initial registrations, renewals and updates) timeshare products globally and the processes for conveying timeshare inventory into club products. This position typically works under moderate supervision of an attorney, director, or manager.

Expected Contributions

  • Draft legal correspondence, documents, and memoranda for review; once reviewed, may revise, distribute, and transmit legal correspondence, documents and memoranda.
  • Research legal topics, summarize findings in writing and file written summaries in appropriate paper and computer files.
  • Create and maintain timeshare registrations.
  • Review, analyze and track legislative proposals.
  • Actively contact other associates to obtain information and guidance regarding job to be performed.
  • Compile information and prepare documents for timely registration and regulatory submittals, amendments and renewals and maintain organized, detailed and accurate records of same.
  • Manage consumer document updates following Law Department procedures, including electronic applications and post install audits, and serve as point of contact to applicable vendors.
  • Interact with outside entities, i.e., government agencies, corporations, and external law firms to gather information, documentation or data.
  • Modify existing legal documents and create computer-generated black-line drafts of deeds, leases, contracts and other related documents.
  • Create, update, and maintain databases, as appropriate.
  • Analyze various documents as required.
  • Assist with maintaining, updating and distributing various status reports.
  • Create and maintain paper and computer files of correspondence and documents.
  • Assist with training new associates, as requested.
  • Work with the designated departments to provide approved sales documents to on-site sales personnel.
  • Assist in gathering information and resolving issues with clients.
  • Interact regularly with Technology, Document Administration and Sales and Marketing Departments.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.


  • Four-year college degree or equivalent qualifying work experience with an excellent employment record.
  • One or more years of related substantive and applicable experience as a paralegal or equivalent experience in a law firm, title agency, corporate law department, or government agency.
  • Timeshare and real estate/title experience preferred.
  • Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program helpful but not required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful but not required
