The Bell/Valet Graveyard attendant is responsible for assisting arriving and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner, safely parking/retrieving guest and employee’s vehicles, providing general information regarding Tahoe Seasons Resort and local attractions, maintaining an even flow of guest's vehicles, luggage and belongings to and from guest rooms and providing storage for luggage in a prompt and safe manner. The Bell/Valet Graveyard Attendant is responsible for keeping the driveway and work areas clean by sweeping and doing snow removal. Candidate will occasionally support the Security and Housekeeping department by delivering amenities to guests. Candidate will assist with projects assigned as indicated below.

  • Able to drive automatic and manual transmission and be comfortable in elevators
  • Greet guests and open vehicle doors for guest at all times
  • Carefully park and retrieve guest and employee vehicles
  • Maintain a presence outside Bell/Valet areas
  • Maintain order in loading/unloading zone, driveway and oversize parking areas
  • Help guests with activities equipment/supplies/amenities
  • Become knowledgeable with local areas and events to be able to give appropriate recommendations and directions to guests 
  • Assist guests with loading, unloading, delivering and retrieving luggage from vehicles/rooms
  • Answer guest’s questions as needed/provide needed information
  • Store kayaks, bikes, skis, snowboards, etc. for guest
  • Keep valet tickets and keys organized at all times
  • Turn in tips report
  • Participate in all required health and safety meetings/classes
  • Keep entrance to the lobby area, valet area & ramps clean/swept and clear of snow
  • Follows emergency evacuation procedures
  • Additional duties include occasional support for security and room delivery for hotel amenities
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance department right away
  • Any other duties assigned by the Bell/Valet Supervisor, Operations Supervisor and General Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education required

Minimum 1 year in field experience required

Skills required:

  • Ability to work with little/ no supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service
  • Snowblower and snowplow experience a plus
