JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the IT Director Field Services, Asia Pacific. The IT System Technical Analyst is responsible for providing IT Technical assistance to projects as well as to support the sites across APAC and Australia as required, escalating issues both internally and externally to third party vendors/technicians to ensure quick resolution. The role will assist the IT Support Team, providing 3rd level support on issues they are unable to resolve and logs, updates and tracks all incidents in the internal IT service management tool.

The role will assist the IT team in analysing, designing, and developing of smaller, less complex technical solutions (interfaces, performance tuning, utilities or diagnostics) to business problems, and additionally provides technical development and support skills in a well-defined area of expertise with proven knowledge of client-server administration, VMware, LAN/WAN Network Administration, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Director with providing basic inputs and performing the following tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.

  • Communicate, solve and make decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk within the capacity of a 3rd party level support.

  • Assist the IT team in achieving business results by:
    • utilizing basic technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.

    • contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc.).

  • Demonstrate an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

Specific Expected Contributions

Key Accountabilities:

  • Gather basic functional requirements, design specifications and operations requirements for a system in support of the technical infrastructure (network, telephony, internet/intranet, or operating systems) within IR standards
  • Assist in end-to-end problem resolutions, performance analysis, and tuning as required.
  • Assist senior staff in implementation or maintenance of systems
  • Modify and maintain existing technical infrastructure systems to meet internal and external user requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to project, as well as the IT support team and training where required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all technological devices
  • Assist/perform organized systems test and post implementation audits to determine proper system functionality
  • Execute against a defined project plan with minimal assistance, including schedules, deliverables and measurements
  • Provide escalated support for production needs and systems maintenance to ensure service levels
  • Assist in problem resolution
  • Research technology solutions to solve less complex issues on behalf of a department or customer
  • May assist with providing input to work estimates and department/project budgets.
  • May assist in certifying systems/products and evaluating technical products/solutions.
  • Innovate technology solutions in support of the customer that meet service levels.
  • Keep supported systems production-sound on basis of technical expertise.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Information Technology preferred

Related Work Experience
