Position Summary 

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally, works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks. 

Specific Job Summary

The IT Asset Analyst will assist and support the IT Asset Manager with tracking IT hardware and software assets globally throughout their lifecycles. Responsible for the daily tracking of software and technology-related hardware within the organization. Assists with enforcing hardware and software policies and processes. Responsible for coordinating license reconciliation and true-up activities. Work with IT Asset Manager to create and maintain accurate system of record for all IT Assets. Responsible for completing the day to day hardware and software requests that are assigned to IT Asset Management. Responsible for resolving the Incident Management tickets that are assigned to IT Asset Management 



Expected Contributions  

  • Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.
  • Responds to, solves and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.
  • Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.

- utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.

- contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc). 

  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as appropriate. 

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Assist and support the IT Asset Manager with tracking IT hardware and software throughout their lifecycle
  • Assist with enforcing hardware and software policies and processes
  • Partner with Legal and Contracting team to create and maintain all ITAM policies, standards and procedures documentation
  • Responsible for coordinating license reconciliation and true-up activities
    Work with IT Asset Manager to create and maintain accurate system of record for all IT Assets
  • Work with IT Asset Manager to track compliance exceptions and ensure corrective actions are taken to handle non-compliance
  • Maintain satisfactory SLA's for completion of IT Asset Management tasks/tickets in the ITSM tool for internal customers
  • Responsible for completing the day to day hardware and software requests that are assigned to IT Asset Management
  • Responsible for resolving the Incident Management tickets that are assigned to IT Asset Management
  • Keep up to date with evolving technology trends, methods and solutions


Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows: 

Usually a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology). College degree and/or related experience typically required. 

Specific Candidate Profile  

Education / Experience

Required: 5-7 years working experience in high volume, high-paced, results oriented business environment with a focus on customer service, application administration and request fulfillment 

Preferred: 5-7 years' experience in quality assurance, customer service and IT asset management. 

Knowledge of Cherwell ITSSM/ITAM/Discovery, Sarbanes-Oxley & PCI guidelines, ITIL v3 certification
