Nature of Work

The Information Architect will be responsible for translating business/product requirements into visual documentation for the business to approve and designers to use in the creation and enhancement of features on websites and Apps . The ideal candidate should be versed in both interaction and visual design, and have the capabilities to bridge the gap between user requirements and web development.

The candidate should be results-driven, detail-oriented individual with 3+ years of Computer Human Interaction (CHI), User Experience (UX) or similar field. They should have a thorough understanding of web technologies and trends along with best of breed interface solutions to produce wireframes, interactive storyboards, prototypes, navigation schemas, process maps, feature lists and other artifacts to describe the intended functionality and points of interaction.



Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

  • Work with internal teams of business owners, project managers, designers and developers to determine project goals (user needs, business needs, etc), and project constraints (technical, deadlines, etc)
  • Create sitemaps, wireframes, interactive storyboards, prototypes, process flows or other documentation as needed
  • Work with internal team to continually refine and update interactive products
  • Understand,apply, and promote usability standards and best practices
  • Work with Project Managers to meet expectations, deadlines and budgets
  • Familiar with current web development technologies and standards, including but not limited to: Agile, AJAX and jQuery
  • Basic understanding of database and CMS driven concepts
  • Deep understanding of user-centered interactive design philosophies and methodologies
  • Team oriented, self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast­ paced environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, designers and developers
  • Knowledge of architecture-related software (Axure, Balsamic, Visio, Photoshop)
  • Uncompromising attention to detail
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Demonstrable past experience ; wireframes, and other IA documentation
