General Information

Helps the housekeeping department in achieving the goals set. Helps in improving the new environment and the GSS results.

Job Summary

The housekeeping trainee helps the department with day-to-day procedures. Makes sure that he/she delivers what is needed in the department. Helps with the apartment checks and the lost and found items in the resort. Has the responsibility to help improving the GSS results for housekeeping.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • L&F -- Registers and keeps track of the lost and found items in the resort. Has the responsibility of communicating with FO about inquiries and items stored in the AYS closet.

  • Inventory check -- Helps with inventory checks, in order to keep track of it and notify the department when new orders must be made.

  • Checks apartments -- Helps the housekeepers in case they need something from a houseman and inspects apartments.

  • Helps organizing the storages in the buildings -- Checks if the storages in the buildings are fully stocked and organized.

  • Welcome pack -- Has the responsibility of maintaining the Welcome pack boxes full.

  • Making the keys for the housekeepers -- Prepares the list of housekeeper working the next day and prepares the keys for them, so that the next day they are ready for the opening shift.

  • Laundry inventory -- Checks the laundry invoices and puts all the data in the system.

  • Courtesy visits -- Helps to improve the GSS results for the department by visiting the guests and making sure that they are satisfied with the service.

  • Report for courtesy visits -- Prepares the weekly/monthly reports for the visits made throughout the period.

  • Training board -- Updates the training board for the housekeepers.

  • Public areas round -- Makes rounds in the public areas and makes sure that everything is clean.

  • Line-up meetings -- Represents the housekeeping department at line-up meeting and updates the team about what happened on them.

  • Master program and profile notes -- Collects information from older master programs and makes sure that all the important information concerning housekeeping is included in the profile notes.

  • Dry cleaning check -- Checks the associate's laundry, organizes it and signs on the delivery note.

  • Updates the GSS result board after the end of every period.

  • Assists with new projects for the department.

  • Helps the department by making mini villa audits regularly.

Minimum Requirements

  • Student currently studying at an university necessary for the 'collaboration contract' (Spanish laws)
  • Students need valid work papers to legally have permission to work in Spain
  • Student must speak fluent English or Spanish (student preferably speaks both)
  • Student needs to have skills such as discipline, teamwork and open-minded
