As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department and monitoring the flow of work between own department and others in alignment with broader business objectives, selecting and developing effective managers and work teams, and managing own organization through reliable systems and processes.


Specific Job Summary

Responsible for designing the overall short term strategy of the IT Procurement/Purchasing Process to include the lifecycle of IT hardware and software globally; will design, develop, create timeline and oversee execution of projects. Ensure purchase orders to ensure it's processed accurately and timely for IT hardware and software in a timely manner. Oversees tracking of the shipments for all IT equipment orders. Monitors key roles and provides guidance/support for team to deliver on approved projects to ensure IT hardware and software are processed. Partners with IT Leaders on process improvements and recommendations to meet deliverables and streamline processes for effective execution. Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures for the IT Procurement/Purchasing Process that supports the entire organization. Partners with vendors to manage the relationship and negotiate pricing.

Specific Expected Contributions (including duties and responsibilities)

  • Monitors and makes recommendations to Improve/maintain customer satisfaction
  • Oversees the management of the IT Purchasing Process to include the lifecycle of IT hardware and software globally.
  • Leads team to ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and timely for IT hardware and software.
  • Partners with IT Leaders and external vendors to ensure requests for IT hardware and software are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversees the tracking process for all IT equipment orders, provides guidance to team to ensure effective execution of approved projects.
  • Ensures logistics are implemented in accordance to the Lease Refresh and Field Services teams timeline.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures for the IT Purchasing Process that supports the entire organization.
  • Partners with external vendors to negotiate pricing and implantation of all Soft/hardware for all of IT
  • Create metrics to monitor performance standards for team and Hard/Soft ware processes.
  • Leads, develops, manages team to support an effective workforce; includes, hiring, performance management, succession planning etc.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Generally a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations as well as associate management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.

Specific Candidate Profile (the education, experience, skills and attributes that are important for this position)

Education: Preferred: BS/BA degree, in addition to above. ITIL v3 certification



  • 10 years working experience in high volume, high-paced, results oriented business environment with a focus on customer service and procurement/purchasing process.
  • 7 years of leadership and managing teams.

Preferred: 5-7 years' experience in quality assurance, customer service and incident management. Knowledge of Cherwell ITSSM/ITAM, Peoplesoft, Vendor Management
