Position Summary 

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks. 

Specific Job Summary 

Responsible for maintaining, updating and maximizing all e-commerce channels based on the current marketing strategy, including, and E-channels/OTAs as needed. Works with Sr. Manager, Rental Marketing and Vice President to implement and track all current and future rental marketing promotions, campaigns and initiatives through social channels internally and digital media channels externally. Assists region directors and managers with promotions on the web and search engine channels through analytics, implementation and metrics. Ensures accuracy of digital presence on all transient marketing channels by ensuring use of correct copy and photography using available assets

Specific Expected Contributions 

  • Manages and executes all updates to the HWS pages on as needed for maximizing exposure globally through the websites;
  • Coordinates internal and site operations teams to ensure accuracy of all information
  • Monitors and coordinates consistency across global websites and mobile platforms
  • Maintains monthly calendar on rental exposure to ensure content, photos, offers, etc. are updated accurately and timely
  • Analyzes current trends and assists Sr. Manager and Vice President in making strategic decisions for content for
  • Works with Sr. Manager and internal teams to understand high level promotional time periods to execute distribution of the promotions via various digital marketing tactics
  • Ensures that all digital platforms are analyzed and reviewed for additional e-commerce opportunities and communicates to Senior Manager and Vice President
  • Develops and implements rental offer landing pages for market promotions in BrandWorks or CLPG (Campaign Landing Pages) with corresponding tracking and reporting as needed
  • Creates and implements Marriott International email campaigns (METT, MAU, Solo emails and others)
  • Oversee relationship and strategy for Convention & Visitor Bureaus for major markets. Also for Local Partner websites where participation/listings exist (
  • Manage hotel website photography on -- submissions, writing marketing captions, assigning room pool codes
  • Oversees and optimizes photo shoot organization and planning with Sr. Manager including creation and review of shot lists by room type.
  • Comprehends and institutes department strategy as it relates to content, offer, photo, maintenance of website and future state rentals web sites
  • Collaborates with team on reporting of MetaSearch Campaigns in Marriott Plus tool to include TripAdvisor, Google Hotel Ads and Kayak
  • Monitors campaign budgets to ensure ROI optimization; understands market trends for digital optimization
  • Oversees implementation of SEO optimization efforts, including the review and approval of keywords and content by working directly with Marriott Digital Services, then with counterpart Digital Marketing Manager for implementation.
  • Attends monthly MI Digital & Marketing Global Calls
  • Supports sales/marketing and merchandising efforts on OTA/e-channels within regions, domestically & internationally including accuracy of photos, content, room descriptions, amenities, hotel alerts.
  • Partners with large market managers to ensure that current OTA pricing strategies are maintained in regards to parity, initiating communications to the revenue managers
  • Provides analysis of OTA opportunities against regional/local pricing strategies to maximize exposure for promotions, merchant and package rates up to and including implementations via e-fast and other applications.
  • Assists Sr. Manager or VP as needed in consolidating and distributing the digital campaigns results including SEO, display ad/retargeting, paid search, mobile, social, MDS, etc.
  • Works with the Inventory Reporting team to create and deliver e-commerce reporting as needed
  • Provides analysis of trends from reports and assists the Rental Marketing Manager and Sr Director in reporting the results to the field.
  • Provides support in securing digital assets from rental marketing partners for digital optimization/cross-linking where available.
  • Partners with Sr Manager and internal social media team to optimize relevant market offers, including analytics, tracking and recommendations.

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Usually a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Resources). College degree and/or related experience typically required.

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • 2-3 years marketing or equivalent experience


  • Minimum of 2-3 years marketing or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in the timeshare and lodging industry beneficial
