Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally, works under minimal supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks.

Specific Job Summary

The Manager, Human Resources Services, Talent Acquisition is responsible for providing senior level guidance in the delivery of HR programs and services for associates based at corporate, regional, and site locations within the U.S and Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW). Primary HR programs are in the areas of Talent Acquisition-hourly process, Work Authorization, Associate Referrals and Background Checks. This position serves as the primary point of contact for corporate and regional HR professionals for delivery of these services, the process SME and the lead for the HR Services Talent Acquisition- hourly team. Typical responsibilities include answering policy related or administrative questions, providing guidance, completing related documentation, conducting research and resolving basic inquiries, and escalating complex inquiries or situations internally as appropriate.

Expected Contributions

  • Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.
  • Responds to, solves and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.
  • Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. Direct work of non-management staff.
  • Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
    • utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.
    • establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others.
    • allocating own time effectively to meet goals in a manner that does not disadvantage other associates or groups.
    • contributing to department budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).
  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

Specific Expected Contributions


  • Partners with Regional Talent Acquisition Managers, SDHR's, Director of Talent Acquisition; On-Boarding Coordinators and corporate Directors, Human Resources to deliver effective talent acquisition solutions. Key tasks include:
    • Audit job requisitions created by managers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Source requisitions via a third-party Talent Acquisition tool.
    • Monitor requisition applicant flow for posted requisitions
    • Ensure completion of all assessments by requisition applicants as required.
    • Ensure all paperwork associated with applicants is attached to the profile of the requisition.
    • Monitor J-1 hires, ensuring compliance with the program.
    • Ensure initial I-9 documentation has been completed
    • Notifications mailed to managers throughout the process on status of requisition
    • Work with third party vendors to assist in resolving technical and/or system issues
    • Routine audits on requisitions for completion of all required background checks according to policy
    • Facilitate annual drivers audit
    • Monitor associate referrals are completed in timely manner
    • Routine reporting and calculations of performance metrics quarterly
    • Facilitate portions of College Recruiting program
    • Enter and maintain third party resources in HRMS and conduct routine audit for compliance
    • Backup to System Admin


  • Serve as lead Hourly TA team member, providing oversight and guidance to HR Generalists in all processes managed internally within HR Services TA including job requisitions posted and sourced; associate referrals; entry of third-party vendors; correct background packages order, etc.
  • Handle more complex issues on behalf of generalists, identifies opportunities to align work efforts between various generalist roles as appropriate.
  • Performs routine audit on WAVE resources to ensure accuracy and current
  • Assist with rollout of new programs or systems
  • Ensures staff are trained to appropriately provide back-up of all processes within HR Services
  • Act as back up to HR Services Operations manager and Sr. Manager as required.


Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Usually a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Resources). College degree and/or related experience preferred but not required.

Specific Candidate Profile


  • High School Diploma required.


  • One to two years of managing hourly associates
  • Three to five years of HR experience.
  • Talent Acquisition systems experience a plus.
  • On-property site/location experience/knowledge a plus.
