Job Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally works under close supervision or within well­ established guidelines to complete routine tasks. The Business Support Analyst I will be responsibe for the following:

  • The maintenance, configuration and reporting of critical business software applications such as:
    • UniVerse Documentum UnifiPro
    • TSW-Asia
    • Other software products as they interface with Universe (e.g. LoanServ, SOLAR and PIP)
  • System configuration, maintenance and testing of legal documents and business rule tables for all applications. Responsible for the configuration, maintenance and testing of all fees and finance programs within the system.
  • Responsible for monitoring all systems for data anomalies prior to weekly exports to reporting environments.
  • Must demonstrate ability to understand basic system integration, data mapping and reporting.
  • This position will also be responsible for all closing fee and finance program configuration and updates.
  • Support Contract Administration Associates by understanding business processes with sufficient expertise to identify and configuration systems that leverage the use of automation and exception reporting.
  • Provide on-going production system support to ensure business service levels are maintained including but not limited to the on-going evaluation of additional software applications and techniques appropriate to enhancing productivity efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for executing all testing for system defects and enhancements prior to user certification and production implementation. Contribute to the production of test and user training documentation.

  • Contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).
  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

The Applications Administrator is a management associate and contributes to the overall success of the Business

Support Team by:

  • Serving as the primary user representative to:
  • IR support as it relates to trouble-shooting application problems and testing of system enhancements; Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Contracting Systems
  • MVCI business users of other systems that interface with supported applications
  • Information Resources relative to the timely and efficient resolution of application production system support and reporting requests
  • Maintaining all application configuration and business rule requirements within systems supported
  • Supporting associates and users of the Contracting Systems and data by :
  • Monitoring system performance, including problem identification and resolution recommendations
  • Coordinating global business process and technical support, including serving as second leveiiR
  • Support as provided through theIR Help Desk
  • Maintaining document, fee and finance program libraries with release dates, specifications and approvals
  • Maintaining system documentation, including contributing to the production of training material
  • Assisting in the development of user acceptance cases and conceptual system designs in support of business and process enhancements and improvements

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Usually a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Resources). College degree and/or related experience typically required.

  • Some college or previous work experience, preferably in an area indicative of technology, analysis or CRM related service area. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in an analytical or user support role, preferably in the timeshare industry.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills, and knowledgeable with SQL
  • SharePoint experience preferred 
  • Related technical certifications and/or equivalent experience preferred such as reporting applications or IT software.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication and organizational skills with demonstrated proficiency
  • Excellent teamwork resulting in a high level of trust, confidence and collaboration by business users and Information Resources
  • Strong interpersonal skills across all management levels including the ability to present and explain application concepts and business process, some complex, to a diverse audiences
  • Strong business acumen and focus with a results driven commitment to quality customer service
  • Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to effectively manage multiple cross-functional projects
  • Exceptional problem solving skills with demonstrated results in the evaluation and delivery of technical solutions designed to cost-effectively meet business requirements
  • Ability to provide 24X7 on-call support as required
