Generally works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks.

Specific Job Summary (describe the nature and purpose of the position)

As part of the HR Global Talent Management team, the Talent Analytics Manager assists in key aspects of critical Human Resources projects and programs for Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) with a focus on talent analytics, reporting, and supporting ongoing implementation and maintenance of programs and tools (e.g., associate surveys processes, technology tools) . He/she executes processes and maintains tools that help the organization to hire, develop, manage, and engage associate throughout the employee lifecycle. The Talent Analytics Manager performs business as usual (BAU) processing in support of annual program cycles, plans for and manages special projects in support of the Talent Management team's mission, and provides consultation to Human Resources Operations managers and helps them administer, report on, and interpret talent management tools and data. He/she partners with Human Resources Operations and other Centers of Expertise (COEs) to ensure business needs are met for programs as appropriate.

Specific Expected Contributions (including duties and responsibilities)

  • Serves as a key analyst for talent management program evaluation and reporting that support the company's objectives and supports the hiring, development, management, and retention of talent in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
    • Develops processes and tools to collect data through the administration of employee lifecycle surveys.
    • Works with HR teams and business leaders to collect and compile talent data from a variety of sources.
    • Identifies research questions, leverages statistical techniques to analyze talent data, and presents insights to stakeholders (e.g., HR partners, business leaders).
    • Creates dashboards and reports to drive a focus on analytics.
    • Supports associate engagement survey administration and results reporting.
    • Facilitates internal and external research to inform the design of talent management programs and tools (e.g., performance management, leadership development).
  • Participates in the design, enhancement, and implementation of enterprise-wide technology-enabled analytical tools and talent management systems.
  • Supports cross-functional teams to include members from HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) and operational disciplines to continuously improve talent analytics practices.
  • Educates HR COEs and HR Operations Managers on how to maximize reporting and analytical capabilities to evaluate trends and translate into insights that support decision making.
  • Provides analytic and project management support for other talent initiatives as needed.

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Usually a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology). College degree and/or related experience typically required.

Specific Candidate Profile (the education, experience, skills and attributes that are important for this position)



  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, a related quantitative field, or a combination of education and equivalent practical experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.


  • Experience with data analysis (e.g., data visualization, applying statistical methodology, drawing insights from large data sets).
  • Experience in survey design, research methodology, and data collection.
  • Experience implementing surveys, analyzing and interpreting data, as well as presenting results and insights to leaders.
  • Familiarity with HR Technology, ideally Workday, and other HR reporting tools preferred.

Skills and Attributes

  • Intermediate level of skill with MS Office and statistical software packages (e.g., Power BI, SPSS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks developing and using systems to organize and keep track of information; must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Possesses high degree of integrity in dealing with sensitive information.
