Nature of Work

This position acts as the reservation, owner services, exchange agent for the resort owners, handling internal reservations and point transactions/usage using multiple reservation systems such as, Timeshareware and System 9900. Handles collection of maintenance fees and club dues, properly handles the transfer of requests and bookings; places Interval requests and transacts confirmations. Educates resort owners with regards to the operation of usage and timeshare exchanges.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives and services dedicated inbound member phone calls from , Trading Places International and Vacation Resorts International clubs.

  • Performs availability searches for owners via multiple platforms, such as, iServices, AS400, Timeshareware and System 9900.

  • Researches contract information.

  • Performs transactions for member’s Interval instant exchanges, pending requests and getaways.

  • Educates members on individual resort reservation programs for Interval International, Trading Places International and Vacation Resorts International.

  • Handles reservations, week usage, bulk banks, rentals, point usage, points sharing, points borrowing, and point savings benefits, as well as any other Shell Vacations Club, Trading Places International and Vacation Resorts International benefits for individual members.

  • Collects maintenance fees and annual club dues. Additionally, processes payments such as reservations, point protection, rentals, dues, and any other applicable fees pertaining to, Trading Places International and Vacation Resorts International programs or services.

  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by a member of the management team.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills

  • Possess a minimum of six months of exchange experience

  • Computer literate and be familiar with the AS400 & iServices Query application.

  • Possess excellent oral communication skills.

  • Detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.

  • Possess outstanding customer service skills with a minimum average of 90% on their Quality Assurance Monitoring for the last 6 months.

  • Able to work overtime, as needed.

Physical Requirements

Employees in this position will sit for extended periods of time speaking on the phone and working on the PC*.  The employee can also periodically stand at their work station utilizing an extended cord headset.  Data entry is not constant as the information is obtained from members over the phone throughout the conversation, and is inputted by alternating between the keyboard and the mouse. Employee also responds to member questions by switching between screens for the information.

*Company requirement is that an employee be on the phone a minimum of 7 hours per day.  Employees receive a half hour lunch and when possible, two fifteen minute breaks per day.
