Job Purpose: 

The position is primarily responsible for business generation and sales prospecting for Aqua-Aston under the direction of the VP of Sales. The position engages in various sales related activities, sales presentations, product training, tradeshows and seminar participation.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implements short- and long-term strategies and action plans in the U.S. & International markets.  Establishes relationships and solicits business from assigned accounts.
  • Participates in product and rate negotiations with the U.S. & International wholesalers.
  • Conducts sales activities to include fam tours/site inspections.  Attends and coordinates tradeshows/sales events and functions, conducts sales trips to U.S. & Canada, sales calls to local offices, etc.
  • Performs pricing, market share, competitive analysis and provides recommendations.
  • Works with properties and operations to resolve guest service issues and complaints.
  • Solicits co-operative marketing and promotional opportunities with the U.S. & International wholesalers.
  • Responsible for formulating and optimizing campaign opportunities and distribution strategies with wholesale partners.
  • Responsible for allocating and monitoring co-operative marketing budget and commission override agreements.
  • Works closely with marketing department to distribute and implement marketing programs and promotions through wholesalers and travel agents.
  • Evaluates the performance of each property as it pertains to sales volume and market-share in the U.S. & International markets.  Financial performance will be evaluated against budget, prior period, and industry averages -monthly.
  • Responsible for formulating dynamic promotions with all direct connect accounts and works closely with distribution team for activation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: 

Education

  • 4 year degree/diploma in Travel Industry Management, Sales & Marketing or Business Management or equivalent additional experience.

Experience/Skills

  • 2 or more years’ experience in U.S. & International sales and marketing.  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to serve both customers and co-workers.  Must be able to read, write and speak in the English language.  Ability to speak and write another language is desirable.
