CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Tax Responsibilities
- Responsible for all tax compliance with Indonesian Tax Regulations
- Drive the improvement of Tax Practices (for example, implementing Electronic and more efficient processes)
- Company Withholding Tax (23,26,4 art 2 and others):
- Review account ledger of WHT Account
- Review the account ledger of Expenses, Intercompany and payment to identify any withholding tax applicable
- Collate all the invoices related to the WHT Account and ensure the accuracy of the WHT rate applied for the invoices
- Calculate the monthly Company Withholding Tax
- Arrange the banking tax payment process
- Submitting the monthly WHT tax report
- Responsible for distributing and collecting the Withholding Tax Slip related to the company
- Booking tax journal related to the Withholding Tax
- Perform account reconciliation from Expense to Withholding Tax to respective Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Value Added Tax VAT:
- Review account ledger of VAT Output/VAT Input Account (Local & Offshore)
- Collate all the Commercial & Tax Invoices related to the VAT Input Account
- Validate Tax invoices and respective supporting documents for Input and Output VAT, both domestic and international
- Issue Tax invoices by using the E-Faktur system related to VAT Output Account
- Issue Tax invoice’s supporting documents required to VAT Output Account
- Calculate the monthly Value Added Tax
- Arrange the banking tax payment process
- Submitting the monthly VAT tax report
- Booking tax journal related to the VAT Tax
- Perform account reconciliation from Revenue to Withholding Tax to respective Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Employee Income Tax 21:
- Providing data to the Paymaster vendor regarding non-employee Income Tax 21
- Responsible for assisting the paymaster with the Reporting of Monthly Employee Income Tax 21 & Yearly SPT 1721
- Responsible for distributing Employee Income Withholding Tax Slips to the employee
- Engage with the paymaster to review and Reconcile Expenses to Withholding Tax to the respective Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Performing Tax amendments and Refund requests for the company when required
- Assist Global Tax team in the calculation of Yearly Corporate Income Tax SPT 1771 ensuring the appropriateness of the data to be provided (including but not limited to Entertainment list, marketing list, stock, Transfer Price Documentation, and Account reconciliations) and effectively communicate with MVCI’s tax consultant
- Responsible for compliance with international tax documentation by Assisting Group Tax (including but not limited to COR and DGT forms) and effective communication with other site’s finance departments.
- Assist Global Tax team by assignment as task force dealing with Tax and Government authorities as and when required (such as Tax audit, SP2DK, and court appeal)
- Ensure adequate filing and custody of tax documents according to Indonesian Tax Regulations.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned upon business requirements.
Internal Controls
- Assist in implementing accounting policies, processes, and SOPs related to Taxes
- Assist in aligning Tax practices with MVCI’s Internal Control, accounting policies, SOPs, and practices across Sites

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The education, experience, skills, and attributes important for this position are:
- Degree in Tax or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Multinational Companies or 3-4 years in Tax consultant firms handling Corporate Tax
- Prior Seniority level is preferred
- Solid & excellent functional background in Indonesia Tax Law Regulation, Audit, and Tax Analysis
- Solid & excellent functional background with Indonesia Tax System (e-SPT, etc)
- Intermediate skills in Accounting & Reconciliation
- BKP Certified, minimum as brevet A & B Consultant and C will be benefit.
- Experience with a Tax Consultant is preferable.
- Proficient in Excel
- Fluency in English both spoken and written
