Specific Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Communications and Events, the Manager, Events is primarily responsible for building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand, design, plan, and execute large-scale client events, tradeshows, internal corporate events, and other related prospecting activities.

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Develops and executes several B2B events globally ensuring the highest standards of event/show planning and delivery are maintained through effective team and resource management.
  • Works with vendors to negotiate and secure contracts. Partners with events suppliers and internal partners to arrange space, marketing collateral, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibits.
  • Manages and executes tradeshow and conference promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure and produce net new leads.
  • Handles on-site event management logistics, food, customer co-exhibitors, special, and pop-up requests, support materials, staffing and attendee coordination and service.
  • Assigns roles, projects, and tasks to team members, and agency partners, ensuring all event requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develops a comprehensive communications plan to inform all partners of planned activities and actions needed surrounding all events.
  • Creates, maintains, and recommends continuous improvements for all on-site properties and convention assets.
  • Collaborates with the extended marketing team and project manage all aspects of delivering world-class experiences.
  • Ensures regular knowledge and best practice sharing among internal and external teams.
  • Works with internal creative team and external agencies to design and disseminate event marketing communications and materials.
  • Creates and manages budget for all events.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Specific Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications, or related field or equivalent work experience.

Related Work Experience

  • Four to seven years of end-to-end management and execution of both intimate and large-scale events; international experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital event platforms for both large and small events.
  • Proven ability to deliver events on time and on budget.

Skills and Attributes

  • Proven project management experience and strong organization skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver events on time and on budget.
  • Ability to work effectively and comfortably with Interval Managers, VPs, and current and prospective clients and customers.
  • Ability to utilize a range of marketing platforms, communications channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing.
  • Ability to advance multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and delivers event on-time, and on-schedule, and on budget.  
  • Effective in decision-making and conflict resolution in a fast paced, continuously changing, customer focused environment.
  • Hands-on experience with data to analyze metrics and create reports.
  • Must have a high level of creativity and ability to ideate.  
  • Computer literacy on Microsoft Office products, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
  • Understands how to manage in a culturally diverse work environment.
