Generic Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives.  Generally, works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks. 

Specific Job Summary

The HRIS Analyst performs routine data and systems administration on various HR technology solutions. The HRIS Analyst supports MVW employees in the AP and EME regions to assist with HMS account detail corrections and also represents the HRIS team in any HR technology projects in the AP and EME regions. The HRIS Analyst acts as a liaison with third-party vendors ensuring all company required system administration functions are completed effectively. The incumbent reports to the Director, HRIS Innovation and interfaces with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), the Finance & Accounting (F&A) Accounting Services department, Legal, and third-party Providers, among others.

Specific Expected Contributions

May include but not limited to:

System and Data Administration

  • Performs routine data administration tasks for employee data in the AP & EME regions
  • Provides back up for System Administrators for routine administration.
  • Assists with project management as required for acquisitions, testing, etc.
  • Provides report data on an ad-hoc basis to both internal MVW clients and 3rdparty vendors.  Helps validate the accuracy of the HR data, facilitating both proactive & reactive data clean-up exercises.
  • Collaborates closely with Finance & IT teams to ensure integrations to third party payroll are reviewed
  • Leverages technical and Workday expertise to perform some configuration within the tenant, including maintenance of foundation tables.
  • Utilizes EIBs to support Associate and Foundation table loads into the HRIS syste.
  • Performs new Release testing by assessing the business needs for impact on existing configuration and to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Acts as the liaison between HR, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS projects.
  • Preforms system audits and regular maintenance of Company and Associate data to ensure data quality and integrity.

Issue Resolution

  • Researches, investigates and reports all problems, corrections, and changes related to inquiries and escalations at the routine level. Escalates complex problems and changes to Manager.
  • Works with all MVW partners on seasonal/ad-hoc projects for the relevant system, as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Performs data analysis by resolving missing and/or incomplete information in more complex research/data.
  • Manages user support tickets ensuring thorough, timely work and compliance in ticket tracking system.

Policies & Procedures

Assists in reviews of HR systems, procedures and processes and provides recommendations for enhancements that will streamline the processes of the HR department as a whole and will comply with company policies and governmental regulations.

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Usually, a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology).  College degree and/or related experience typically required.

Specific Candidate Profile


  • 3 to 5 years' experience utilizing HRIS solutions.
  • Background in data reporting preferred.
  • Experience of working with third party vendors preferred.
  • Understanding of client data configuration and security administration.
