Specific Job Summary

As a member of the Resort Operations Finance & Accounting team, the Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation and completion of analysis reports for Budgeting, Forecasting, and month- and annual-close reporting. The Financial Analyst reports to the Regional Director of Finance Resort Operations, and the position is located in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Financial Analyst prepares and analyses on-site operations activity to help drive the best operational decisions, support the on-site financial leaders and the corporate finance team, as well as manage compliance requirements with regards to operations activity and financial reporting.


Expected Contributions

1. Period Analysis

i. Prepare and analyze BUVAR reports for Resort Operations, in collaboration with respective DOF/Controllers

ii. Review of allocations in Shared Service Properties

iii. Monitor and assist in inventory Dedications to Club entities

iv. Regularly review and update FF&E expenses, cash tracking and forecasting for Resort Operations

2. Planning and Analysis

i. Prepare, analyze and upload forecast for Resort Operations and maintain / develop forecast tools

ii. Organize BUVAR meetings every period, ensure timely minutes and approval of minutes and follow up from one meeting to the other

iii. Prepare ad hoc analysis and research as per business needs on specific projects

iv. Participate in the Budget, Long Range Plan and Strategic Plan process for the Resort Operations

v. Assist in developing models/tools to facilitate business decisions

vi. Assist in remodeling forecast tools

vii. Assist on cross-functional projects requiring finance expertise including site pre-openings

viii. Assist in the bi-yearly preparation of Advisory Committee Meeting materials

ix. Prepare and manage Resort Operations reserve account forecasting and analysis

  1. Internal Controls

i. Prepare quarterly cost reimbursement memos for financial consolidation reports

ii. Conduct internal audit self-assessments on Resort Operations level to ensure compliance

  1. Process Improvement

i. Drive process improvement in Resort Operations Forecasting

ii. Create Resort Operations expense analyses to derive best practices and savings

iii. Perform Task Force support during transition/opening phase

Specific Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Accounting with at least 4 years of relevant working experience, preferably with audit experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with US Multi-National Corporation preferred
  • Strong Excel skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to build and maintain excellent rapport with all levels of associates
  • A team player with ability to collaborate with senior management, functional departments and external partners
  • Motivated self-starter, curious, resourceful and independent; keen to learn
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Well-organised and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong business integrity and holds sensitive information in confidence
  • Strong command of English language required
