Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department and monitoring the flow of work between own department and others in alignment with broader business objectives, selecting and developing effective managers and work teams, and managing own organization through reliable systems and processes.

Specific Job Summary (describe the nature and purpose of the position)

The Director, Content and Asset Management harnesses the strengths of content creators to leverage content and assets across channels. With a strategic mindset, this role identifies opportunities to deploy the right content at the right time to the right audience. This role has extensive understanding of existing, in progress and planned development projects and aligns them to business needs. This person works closely with the copy, video and photography teams to produce, organize, manage, archive and distribute brand assets across businesses.

Specific Expected Contributions (including duties and responsibilities)

  • Stay informed on the latest industry and client best practices for storytelling, content strategy, and branding
  • Identify technology needs to run an efficient and effective content management system
  • Evolve content repositories as content needs change
  • Produce large and small content production efforts, including video shoots & photo shoots
  • Understands copy content management and editorial library organization
  • Lead the charge on the Inclusion and Diversity creative philosophy and assure implementation
  • Partner with licensors for alignment with their content strategies and technology solutions
  • Ensure effective communication when new assets are available
  • Identify digital content update needs and Initiate with the DCE team
  • Ensure the most accurate and current content is in circulation across channels  
  • Champion principles of both storytelling and content organization
  • Think big. Then effectively communicate your ideas in a group setting
  • Propose creative solutions to business objectives
  • Develop business philosophies and share those insights
  • Organize different content formats and categories for easy accessibility
  • Understand and consult on content strategy

  • Maintain an environment that attracts and retains talented copywriters, content strategists, and storytellers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: visual design, UX and video.
  • Manage expectations of and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Audit all digital channels across VO brands on a regular basis
  • Communicate with stakeholders as single point of contact and set service level expectations
  • Proactively manage digital content for single source of current and accurate information
  • Be guest advocate and look at digital content from a guest perspective
  • Stay involved in product and benefit development initiatives
  • Create, maintain and deploy web content across functions, brands, audiences and platforms
  • Supports digital teams in identifying areas of opportunity to improve web content
  • Works closely with Resort Operations teams/GMs to ensure resort information is accurately reflected
  • Stays current on digital content trends and strategies
  • Promotes content that enhance Owner experiences and promotes additional purchases
  • Participates in initiatives that enhance the digital Owner experience and encourages online transactions
  • Works in a variety of digital technologies and platforms

  • Generally, a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations as well as associate management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.

  • Agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
